The Ministry of Environment, Waters and Forests is the central public authority responsible for Romania’s national policies on environmental protection, water management, forests, biodiversity, air quality, climate change and sustainable development.
Through its work, the ministry aims to protect natural resources and ensure a cleaner environment for present and future generations, working with public institutions, companies, organizations, local communities and citizens to implement environmental policies and regulations.
