#LOOPCHALLENGE – Energy Meets Education at ENERGY EXPO®

Powering the Next Generation

At ENERGY EXPO® 2025, LOOP Academy brought education and sustainability together through #LOOPChallenge, a project developed in partnership with the Romanian Ministry of Education and Research and the Bucharest School Inspectorate.

A total of 370 students from 15 Bucharest schools reimagined Brancusi’s Endless Column using recycled materials, transforming circular economy principles into a creative public showcase. The winning school was awarded a full energy efficiency package, including solar panels and storage, proving that when clean energy meets education, the potential for the community is endless.

Giving Energy Back

At ENERGY EXPO® 2025, community engagement became part of the event experience through a special CSR initiative inspired by Brancusi’s Endless Column. Built entirely from donated plush toys, the 10.9-meter installation turned a simple gesture into a visible symbol of solidarity and social impact.

With the support of partners such as Yellow Tree, ParkLake, Destiny Park, Edenland Park and Nu Mai Port, over 18,200 plush toys were collected ahead of the event and brought together at ENERGY EXPO® 2025. Following the event, every donated toy reached children in pediatric hospitals through the support of Taxiul cu Bomboane Association.

Visitors became an active part of this story by donating plush toys at the event, proving that collective action is the true energy that powers change.

#HACKATHON – Energy Meets Innovation at ENERGY EXPO®

48 Hours of Energy Innovation

At ENERGY EXPO® 2025, innovation moved from idea to action through the first CleanTech Hackathon in South-Eastern Europe. Developed in collaboration with Techcelerator, ROTSA, and Ascendis, in strategic partnership with the Romanian Ministry of Energy and PPC Romania, the initiative brought together start-ups, entrepreneurs, researchers, and energy experts to build digital solutions for real industry challenges.

Hosted live in the Hackathon Arena, the 48-hour format created a fast-paced environment for collaboration around clean energy, digital innovation, and sustainable technologies. The project further strengthened ENERGY EXPO®’s role as a meeting point for emerging ideas, practical solutions, and the next generation of energy innovation.
