Strategic PartnerThe Department for Sustainable Development is the governmental body responsible for coordinating and monitoring the implementation of Romania’s National Strategy for Sustainable Development 2030, in alignment with the United Nations 2030 Agenda and Romania’s commitments as a European Union member state.
Operating within the Government’s working apparatus, under the direct authority of the Prime Minister, the institution provides the inter-institutional framework for mainstreaming sustainable development principles across national public policies, tracking progress against the 17 Sustainable Development Goals.
